The Rubik’s Cube is the best-known cube

Speedcubing and a cube timer

Speedcubing is solving a Rubik’s Cube or one of the other cubes as quickly as possible. More and more people are taking part in special competitions. There is even an organization called Speedcubing Nederland. It aims to promote speedcubing in the Netherlands. It is also recognized by the World Cube Association as a regional organization.

To practice speedcubing at home, you’ll of course need your own Rubik’s Cube. You’ll also need a cube timer. At the start, place your hands on the cube timer. As soon as you lift them off the timer, it starts running. When you place your hands back on it, the timer stops.
