Model boats

What are model boats?

Model boats and ships are scale miniatures of real, cool vessels. Whether it's a historic battleship, a majestic sailing ship or an impressive cruise ship, you'll find them all in the world of model building . These boats are often built to look realistic, but there are also imaginative designs you can recreate. You buy a model boat as a kit and assemble it yourself! It's a great way to express your creativity and test your patience.

There are two types of model ships available at Speedcube: static models that look beautiful on display, and sailing models that you can control yourself! Warships, sailing ships and cruise ships are hugely popular among model builders. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced builder, there's always a model that's right for you.

What do I need for my model boat?

You don't need glue for the model boat kits we offer. So it's really simple! Thanks to the excellent quality of the parts, they fit together seamlessly. Sometimes a pair of pliers is useful for cutting out or pressing out metal parts, but otherwise you need very few tools. For example, the pieces from Metal Time are easy to remove from a sheet of metal and bend into the right shape.

Every model ship you order from us comes with everything you need to get started. The kits are designed to provide hours of enjoyment, and the clear instructions make it easy to work your way through the building process.
