Yo-yo toys

Are you looking for a yo-yo for a beginner, perhaps you’re a beginner yourself, or would you like to give a yo-yo as a gift to a child? Then you’re better off looking at simple yo-yo toys. You definitely shouldn’t start with an off-string yo-yo. It’s too difficult for beginners. Simple yo-yo toys for beginners are also much cheaper than professional yo-yos, although they’re less suitable for tricks. But that goes without saying, since they’re what you learn with. A good yo-yo needs a bit of weight. At least 50 grams is recommended. If it’s lighter, tricks are more difficult to perform.

Children's yoyos have a loop at the end of the string that you put around your finger. When you throw the yoyo down, it unwinds. Then, if you pull the string the right way and at the right time, it will come back up on its own. This makes yoyos much easier for children to use, so they can practice with ease. Once they've gotten better, you can of course buy a professional yoyo for the real deal!

This somewhat more expensive yoyo has an axle with small ball bearings. When a yoyo has these, it can keep spinning at the end of the string. This means it won’t come back up until you give it a short tug. This gives you more options. When the yoyo is spinning at the bottom, you can do various tricks that aren’t possible with a yoyo without ball bearings.

Buy a professional yoyo

Looking to buy a professional yoyo? We have a range of professional yoyos for you, along with the accessories you need. Our range includes yoyos made of bimetal, plastic or even hybrid. Most are made of metal because they spin the best. These are our more professional yoyos.

Every yo-yo needs maintenance from time to time. They regularly need a new string, or a little oil to keep them running smoothly. You can also buy ball bearings from us so you can replace them when necessary. When you unscrew the yo-yo and then screw it back together, it’s important not to tighten it too much. Otherwise, you could damage the thread in the yo-yo, which will make it work less well. We also offer stands and bags to keep your yo-yo tidy and carry it around. Do you play a lot and get sore hands and fingers? Order a glove to help prevent this!
